Our Mission
To promote and preserve the rich choral tradition of Estonia.
The New York Estonian Mixed Choir was formed in 2013 when the New York Estonian Men’s Chorus and the New York Estonian Women’s Chorus became one. That same year they held a joint “song camp,” along with other East Coast Estonian choirs, in order to prepare for the 2014 global song festival (Laulupidu) in Tallinn, Estonia. The choir has since performed in venues ranging from New York’s prestigious Alice Tully Hall to the New York Estonian House, the Estonian Lutheran Churches of New York and New Jersey and the Estonian Communities of Long Island, NY and Lakewood, NJ.

The NYES was honored to celebrate the 85th birthday of our late spiritual leader at the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bergen County.

We are excited to announce that we have registered to participate in the Song Festival (Laulupidu), to be held in Tallinn Estonia, July 3-6, 2025.
CHORAL CAMP
Laululaager 2024
We invite interested singers to join us for a Choral Camp to be held at the beautiful Long Island Estonian House grounds, June 7-9, 2024 as we prepare repertoire for the Laulupidu 2025. The choir will also perform at the weekend’s Midsummer Solstice celebration.
